Forgive my absence over the last few weeks. I've been abroad, seeing the sights of Paris and Singapore.

🎥Pokemon Fan Film - Made in Blender🐢

While I was away I released the Pokemon fan film I've been working on for the past two years!

This short was a testing bed to bring together everything I've learned about motion capture, facial capture and sculpting in Blender. It was also rendered in Eevee.

💾Eevee Next - A Cycles replacement?💿

Speaking of Eevee, Eevee Next released with the latest Blender 4.2 update and it has a bunch of new features that allows it to simulate lighting and give similar results to Cycles renders.

Watching this video by ColdFusion makes me happier than ever to be a Blender user, as well as generally using a lot of Open Source products.

The fact is, more and more our devices, content and even software are being held hostage by companies that wish to "rent" us their products, rather than us "buying" them. This has implications when it comes to repairing products, as well as giving these companies the ability to change the terms of service at will and take the products away from customers.
