🌏 Pokemon Planet is taking off!

My latest animation, Pokemon Planet, has been getting a lot of traction lately - thanks so much to everyone who watched and shared it! It was a huge project, and honestly, I couldn’t have pulled it off without some powerful Blender tools.

🦴 Rigging smarter, not harder

One of the biggest challenges on Pokemon Planet was rigging - making sure my creatures could actually move the way I imagined. That’s why I’m excited about the new rigging tools in Blender 4.5, broken down in this great video from CGDive. If I’d had these features during Pokemon Planet, things would’ve been a whole lot smoother 😅

🎥 A wild 3D Tracking tool appeared...

The other headache on Pokemon Planet was 3D tracking. Getting characters to sit in a shot naturally can make or break the illusion. I used a lot of tricks on Pokemon Planet to pull it off - but now Polyfjord has released a brand-new 3D tracking method that looks crazy good! I’ll definitely be testing it out on the next animation:
